Designing with purpose results in true architecture. This statement surely describes one of our latest renovation projects.
After the first talk with our client we soon realized that her requests were not really about design, but more about her family life in this new home.
We went around the house, and while she was describing how she pictured life between those walls our architectural gears started going. With the welcoming of a new baby it became quite obvious that they needed more space, however that same circumstance made time our second most valuable resource (after space of course) and a ticking clock that couldn't be delayed started.
Immediately we went ahead and started with the scanning process to get exact dimensions and plans and created the first set of the current layout, then we worked on different layout proposals until one just popped out of the box. It was perfect: a new walk-in closet, a bigger master bedroom with garden and pool access, new bathtub for baby baths, a bigger kitchen with a 8x8 island for family memories and a guest suite, fully equipped with kitchenette and a full bathroom to welcome a nanny or family members. All of this within a week, designed and delivered. No additions or major structural changes.
So what do we learn about layouts? They’re not only smart use of space, but purpose and life made space.
We’re so happy about the outcome and so is our client, who wrote this as a review for us:
“It has been such a pleasure to work with Arie on our project. He is a true professional at his trait. The designs he delivered were creative, innovative and easy to understand for all people involved. He has worked through various problems with us and always guaranteed a quick turnaround time. Highly recommend!”
We look forward to every next project, story and happy client to keep our amazing design firm going.
